Caversham Wildlife Park: Meet Australia's Animals Up Close
Is meeting a koala on your Perth bucket list? Caversham Wildlife Park in Whiteman Park is where you can hand-feed kangaroos, meet a wombat and get your koala photo, all in one day!
What's All the Fuss About?
Caversham is one of Perth's favourite family days out, and it's easy to see why.
A huge collection: The park showcases the largest private collection of native wildlife in Western Australia.
Proudly local: It's been owned and operated by a WA family since 1988 and is funded entirely by its visitors.
No hidden extras: All shows, interactive experiences, photo opportunities and animal food are included in your entry - the only extra is holding a koala.
Why You'll Love It
The daily line-up keeps you busy from the moment you arrive.
Feed the kangaroos: Hand-feeding runs all day, from 9am to 4.30pm.
Meet the koalas: Sessions run at 9am, 11.30am and 3.30pm daily - bring your camera!
Meet a Wombat & Friends: Interactive meet-and-greets at 11am and 2pm.
Farm Show: Catch it at 10am, 1pm or 3pm.
Penguin feeding: The cheeky penguins are fed at 12pm, and Molly's Farm and the Reptile House are open from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Planning Ahead
A little planning helps you catch every show.
Opening hours: 9am to 4.30pm every day except Christmas Day, with last entry at 3.30pm.
Allow time: The park recommends at least 3 hours - arrive after 2pm and you'll miss some attractions.
Tickets: Adults $39 and children (3 to 14 years) $18. Student and pension concessions ($30) are sold at the gate only with a current WA card. Prices can change, so check the website before you go.
Getting There
The park is at The Village inside Whiteman Park, 233B Drumpellier Drive, Whiteman.
By car: Entry to Whiteman Park and parking are both free - car park 8 is the closest to the wildlife park.
By train: The Morley-Ellenbrook line runs from the Perth CBD to Whiteman Park Station in about half an hour. From the eastern entrance, follow the 2 km signposted walking path, or catch the heritage tram on operating days. On weekends, a bus also runs from the station into the Village. Transperth timetables can change, so check before you travel.
By taxi or rideshare: Ask to be dropped at Caversham Wildlife Park itself, not the Whiteman Park entrance. Staff can call you a taxi for the trip home.
Accommodation: Stay in Ascot, on the city's north-eastern side, for a handy base for your wildlife day out.
