Perth Festival 2025: Where Art Meets Summer Magic

Perth Festival 2025: Where Art Meets Summer Magic

Planning a trip to Perth? You're in for a treat! From February 7 to March 2, 2025, the city transforms into a cultural playground during Perth Festival - an iconic celebration that brings world-class performances, art, and experiences to Western Australia's stunning summer.

What Makes Perth Festival Special?

A Festival with History:
As the oldest arts festival in the Southern Hemisphere, Perth Festival knows how to put on a show. But don't let its age fool you - this is a festival that loves to push boundaries and reimagine what's possible.

Only in Perth:
Where else can you catch cutting-edge performances in a former Power Station, enjoy outdoor films under towering pine trees, or experience art installations along the majestic Swan River (Derbarl Yerrigan)?

Something for Everyone:
From electronic music to classical performances, contemporary theatre to traditional storytelling, visual arts to dance - there's truly something for every taste and budget.

‘A dazzling distillation of a millennia-old epic.’ The Telegraph (UK)
'A captivating theatre experience, from the first flame to the last pixel.' Robert Lepage

8 – 16 Feb 2025

Mahabharata is an epic tale of rivalry and humanity you’ve waited 4,000 years to hear. An ancient Sanskrit tale of kingdoms transformed into a once-in-a-generation theatrical experience. The Pandavas and the Kauravas – two royal families fight for control of the kingdom their grandfather once ruled. Direct from acclaimed seasons in Toronto and London, this is a true Festival experience. By the way, it's all performed in English!

Buy tickets to Part I & II on a Saturday or Sunday and lose yourself in this story of ambition and revenge all in one day! ( you can split your viewing across two days, or just watch one part. For the ultimate experience you attend the community meal and storytelling event. Find out more here
